Autumn 2025 brought a wave of excitement as Excellence Community School scholars celebrated the harvest season with creativity and community spirit. From lively neighborhood pop-ups to festive field trips, the season was packed with opportunities for students to learn, connect, and have fun. These events showcased not only fall traditions but also the joy of coming together as a school community.

The season’s events kicked off with two harvest pop-ups, one at the Van Nest Neighborhood Alliance fall festival and another at Bronx Excellence 5 in October.

Schools also took field trips to Queens County Farm where scholars enjoyed hayrides and fed animals in the petting zoo.

The festivities continued with various Spirit Days, including Twin Day and Culture Day.

The season’s events concluded with Book Character Day/Harvest Day. Students dressed up as their favorite storybook characters and donned their favorite autumn colored clothing and farmer-inspired fits. They enjoyed trunk-or-treat events and parades across various Excellence campuses.
