Excellence Community Schools Co-CEO Dr. Charlene Reid Honored at 2025 Power Women of the Bronx Event
On November 19th, Excellence Community Schools Co-CEO Charlene Reid was honored at the Schneps Media 2025 Power Women of the Bronx event at Villa Barone Manor in Throggs Neck.
The award, received by 35 women working across the Bronx, recognized efforts to make the borough a thriving and vibrant place to work, live, and do business.
The evening featured President of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce Lisa Sorin as Mistress of Ceremonies and empowering speeches from Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson and 13th Bronx District Attorney Darcel Denise Clark.
“I think women lead differently with empathy and compassion, as well as knowledge of the law,” said Clark.
Her words underscored a growing movement to redefine leadership through empathy and resilience, inspiring others to embrace these qualities.
“The leadership of women is exploding. The whole glass ceiling is no longer applicable,” Sorin said. “They bring a different mentality.”
The event also included raffles, a silent auction, and various opportunities for this year’s honorees to connect and celebrate each other.
