Family and Community Engagement

• We believe that schools are the heartbeat of the community.
• We leverage community resources and partner with families to support their scholars in obtaining a high-quality education.
• We actively engage the community and collaborate with our families to identify and address the diverse needs of all our families and the surrounding community.
• By using the power of advocacy, coordination of services, and leveraging community assets, we celebrate excellence and scholastic achievement.

Role of the FACE Team

​The main goal is to alleviate and remove barriers to our scholars attending school and ready to learn. ​

• Initiating and maintaining regular contact with families​.

• Establishing a trusting relationship with families​.

• Assisting to strengthen school-family relationships​.

• Conduct Home Wellness Visits with the social worker or school leader​.

• Promote family wellness through programs and events​.

• Provide assistance to families to improve their skills to optimize the home environment for the child's development and well-being​.

• Assist in establishing contact with community resources​.

• Rally families to support external community advocacy for charter schools, housing, and other pressing issues.​

Family Wellness is the foundation for our families to fully engage in their children’s social, emotional, and academic development. ​
