The Bronx Charter School for Excellence (BCSE), also known as Bronx Excellence 1-5 Elementary and Middle, is a K-8, tuition-free public charter school network serving the Parkchester, Morris Park, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, and Tremont neighborhoods of the Bronx, NY.
Single-Gender Schools
Excellence Community Schools expanded its offerings to include Boys Prep and Girls Prep I & II, starting for the 2025-2026 school year. Our tuition-free, single-gender schools serve the South Bronx, Longwood, and Bedford/Kingsbridge Heights neighborhoods.
Stamford Excellence
Opened in 2015, Stamford Excellence made history as the first charter public elementary school in Stamford, Connecticut, offering another tuition-free, high-performing academic option for families. In 2023, Stamford Excellence received a National Blue Ribbon School award.
