High School Acceptances
High school admissions is something that our organization, our scholars, and our academic model place great emphasis on. We strive to send our scholars to the very best high schools and through a combination of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and a rigorous curriculum, we are made proud year after year.
The High School Placement (HSP) team provides alumni with opportunities to learn, develop, and celebrate their individual paths as ECS alumni. HSP aims to help our high school alumni thrive and become successful adults.

High School Placement Support & Services
The High School Placement team works with families to ensure scholars matriculate to a high school that is right for them.
At the middle school level, 7th and 8th graders get connected with our High School Placement and Alumni Services staff during their various application processes. Accompanied by meetings and follow-ups to ease the transition into high school and college life, our faculty work with parents year-round in order to actively listen to their thoughts, questions, and concerns.
Support & Services
In 6th grade, scholars are introduced to high school options and build foundational skills like studyhabits, goal setting, and self-advocacy.
During 7th grade, scholars develop academic portfolios, prepare for entrance exams, practice writing, research schools, and build interview skills.
In 8th grade, High School Placement staff provide intensive application support including essay writing, mock interviews, exam prep, school list finalization, and family counseling.

- Portfolio & Audition Prep (for Arts-Focused Schools)

- Entrance Exam Guidance (ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, SHSAT, TACHS, etc.)
- Test-Taking Strategies & Practice
Interviews & Recommendations
- Interview Coaching & Mock Interviews
- Interview Setup & Coordination with Schools

Financial Guidance
- Support with All Financial Aid Applications (including school-specific forms)

Field Trips
During the summer, scholars go on field trip tours of various schools to get a feel for different campuses.
